FEST WRAP-UP
Wow. Not entirely sure where to begin, or how exactly I'm supposed to put this weekend into words. It's really not something that can be accomplished in a way that gives the weekend due credit. To say it was one of the best weekends of my life, even that fails to illustrate the true beauty and true emotion contained within those two days. Beyond my wildest dreams.
The entire weekend went far better than I had even hoped. Every band and attendee I spoke with told me they had a fantastic time performing/attending. I wasn't planning on doing this next year, or any other year for that matter. But at this point I am beginning to realize that I may not have a choice in the matter. It may be something that needs to happen.
None of it could've happened at all without the help and support of my friends. I couldn't have accomplished the running of this festival without them. There are so many people that did so much, I could go on all day throughout this blog post to thank them. They know who they are, and I've thanked them sincerely and personally. I love my friends and am endlessly grateful for their support in all I do.
For those that missed out, I feel for you. For those who had to return from the fest and try to adjust back to real life, I empathize with you. For both sets of individuals, here's some photos and words to give you a glimpse to what you missed, or take you back into your memories.

wish I could of made it. Happy it went so well, looked great.
ReplyDeletecheers
Awesome weekend, Adam. Even if you never do it again, I'm sure everyone who was there won't need reiterations of it to remind us what a fantastic job you do of putting together a festival.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised you recognized me from my odd posts on the Gilead FB page, but, then again, I think I was the only Asian woman there, so it couldn't have been difficult, hah!
But it was a pleasant reminder of how much personal care and attention you put into the festival (and Gilead, in general) to be able to personally greet people even though you were so busy with preparations and running the show.
Again, thank you for that weekend, and especially thank you for providing me with the opportunity to see Fell Voices (and Sleepwalker!) live - I've been dying to see Fell Voices, and Mike's a great friend and an equally great musician.
It was easily one of my favorite music experiences and I'm sure it will remain so.
